Happy Friday…this is the weekend we’ve been waiting for. Just an introvert’s dream across media within the next few days. Look at this:
Loki S2 E5 after a cliffhanger. Gen V S1 finale. Invincible is back with the S2 premiere. Attack on Titan: The Final Chapter premiere. CFB has Alamaba vs. LSU. NFL Sunday features Dolphins vs Chiefs, Ravens vs. Seahawks, Bills vs. Bengals and Eagles vs. Cowboys. Fortnite brought back the OG Season 1 map and items. WILD.

▪︎ SAG-AFTRA & Studios are getting close to a deal - the main sticking point now is the AI proposal. It’s now a waiting game as the studio reviews and likely counters the unions latest proposal…we’re getting close to a resolution. Read.
▪︎ Chad Stahelski is developing a Highlander reboot with Henry Cavill to lead, as well as starting work on a Ghost of Tsushima film adapation. Chad is best known for his stunt work and directing the John Wick franchise…both of these should be badass, if nothing else. Read & Read.
▪︎ Insane cast announced for Ron Howard’s Survival Thriller Eden. Hans Zimmer is scoring the film that features Vanessa Kirby, Sydney Sweeny, Jude Law, Ana De Armas and Daniel Bruhl. Read.
▪︎ Will Poulter, Anthony Carrigan and Richard E. Grant join Paul Rudd and Jenna Ortega to star in A24’s Death of a Unicorn. The film follows a father and daugther who accidently hit and kill a unicorn while heading on a weekend retreat…this is cinema buzzword heaven. Read.

Five Nights at Freddy’s has one of the biggest critic-audience-box office differentials ever. 3.3 vs. 8.1 Metacritic score and $132M global opening weekend, breaking a ton of records.
Horror fans rejoice - we’re getting a sequel to It Follows, called They Follow. Some call this one of the best horror films of all time.

The Boy and the Heron | Official English Trailer… the cast for this is insane and Miyazaki is a god.
The Fall Guy | Official Trailer… Ryan Gosling, Emily Blunt, Aaron Taylor Johnson and a fun story from David Leitch.
Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes | Teaser Trailer… I’m so happy to be back in this world, it’s one of the most underrated franchises ever.

Arrival | Sci-Fi & Drama | Netflix Until Nov 30
Why are they here? Taking place after alien crafts land around the world, an expert linguist is recruited by the military to determine whether they come in peace or are a threat.
I’m going to try and do my best and not be such a filmbro here, but Arrival just fits the November vibe perfectly. This is a haunting, devastating but beautiful story that left me both in tears and speechless…multiple times. It forever altered my brain chemistry.

Loki S2 E4 - If Marvel handled all of their projects with the same care Loki gets, they’d have zero issues.
Gen V E7 - I just love this show. I don’t know why but I’m connecting with the characters and enjoying my time…dreading the finale because then it’s over.
Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 - Just got to the second act of the story and I’m a menace in the symbiote suit. Too much fun.
